This is Halloween!

Hey everyone!
So I hope that everyone is excited for the upcoming holiday!  I know I am (Halloween is my favorite holiday).  So if you are like me I am sure you want to show your holiday spirit by decking out your dorm door.  This will show your spirit to all who pass by and maybe inspire them to spread the cheer and have fun with the holiday too!  Decorating for the holidays is a fun, cheap, and easy way to give your dorm room a bit of flair.  For this post I will just give some suggestions on how to decorate your door for the scariest holiday of the year.

Send shivers down the spines of all who enter your room; but be sure this is from the decor not from the messy floor and disheveled bed...

Decor for Halloween is fairly cheap most anywhere you shop, especially at dollar stores.  Get yourself some spooky spider webs, maybe a plastic spider or two and hang all these together.  To add a little self identification braid white string from the spiders to a tag with your name on it

Credit for this awesome design goes
to the girls down the hall :)
Here is Krysta's (my roommate) cute & simple
design that we only paid $4.00 for!

Another cool and easy design could be creepy nets or spider webs with fake limbs hanging from the top of the door frame (for those of you who really want to ward off visitors.)
Here are a few other ideas I found around the internet to help give you some ideas and inspiration!

As you can see the one to the left is simply 2 foam plates, black paper, masking tape, and green/yellow plastic strips to create a foreboding Frankenstein Door!
The other is a bought door cover but this concept could be easy to recreate.  Simply buy a plastic or cloth picnic table cover and paint it yourself with any creepy message you wish.  Cut out a place for the door handle, tape it to the top and bottom, and you are set and spooky!

As you can see decorating your door for Halloween is both fairly cheap and easy!  Show everyone in the hall your love of the holidays by decorating your door.  It will spread the holiday cheer and fun!
